Fitter Technician

Job Overview

This position is based at ARAI MRC Takwe in Pune for the Infrastructure Development Department. The role requires comprehensive operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting expertise for various mechanical infrastructure components including air compressors, rotating equipment, HVAC systems, and piping systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on operation and routine maintenance of mechanical systems such as Air Handling Units (AHU), multiple pump types, cooling towers, air compressors, exhaust blowers, piping networks, and firefighting equipment.
• Skillfully repair and service machine assemblies to ensure smooth functionality.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on all mechanical utilities to minimize breakdowns.
• Utilize welding expertise as part of maintenance and repair duties.
• Exhibit flexibility regarding working hours, adapting to operational requirements.
• Identify and address issues within ongoing projects to reduce system snags.
• Maintain accurate records by updating daily log sheets and submitting detailed breakdown reports.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding and practical skills in assembling bearings, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulic and lubricating seals, pneumatic valves, and aligning couplings.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Completed ITI certification in Mechanical Fitter Trade (mandatory).
• Possession of NCTVT certification (mandatory).

Experience Requirement

Applicants should have between 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Skill Set

• Proficiency in welding, piping, and detailed machine assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams and schematics accurately.
• Competence in using testing instruments including anemometers, torque wrenches, shaft alignment laser tools, multi-meters, and clamp meters.

Age Limit

Candidates must be aged between 25 and 35 years to be eligible for this role.
