Role Summary

Based full-time onsite in Hobart, Tasmania, the Fitter plays a key role in guiding customers through the fitting experience for both made-to-measure and ready-to-wear garments. Primary duties include conducting thorough fittings, accurately taking measurements, advising clients on style, fabric selection, and garment fit, and documenting fitting details for production purposes. The Fitter collaborates with tailors and the production team to ensure garments fulfill client expectations, performs minor garment adjustments when needed, and manages subsequent fitting appointments. Additionally, they assist showroom operations by preparing fitting areas, maintaining sample garments, and delivering a warm, professional customer experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent customer service capabilities, including clear communication, rapport development, and respectful, inclusive style and fit advice.
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills for precise measurement recording, appointment management, and coordination with production staff.
• Comfortable operating within a retail or showroom setting, maintaining visual standards and supporting daily showroom functions.
• Interest in fashion, menswear, and modern styles. Prior experience in tailoring, fashion retail, or bespoke clothing is not required.
• Dependable time management, cooperative teamwork, and a professional focus on client satisfaction.
