Job Overview
We are seeking a General Operative/Fitter to become part of a specialist team focused on laboratory and technical fit-out projects throughout Ireland. This practical role requires hands-on experience in areas such as construction, furniture installation, fit-out work, carpentry, cabinet fitting, or general site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and assemble laboratory furniture and associated equipment accurately.
- Interpret and work from installation and layout drawings effectively.
- Utilize both hand and power tools competently to carry out installations.
- Collaborate with the site installation team to ensure smooth project progression.
- Support in overseeing and directing installation activities when necessary.
- Guarantee that all installations meet safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain professional communication with clients during onsite work.
- Travel across various project locations in Ireland, including occasional overnight stays.
- Keep the work area tidy and well-organized throughout the project period.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working in construction or on site environments is essential.
- Background in furniture, cabinet installation, or similar equipment setup is advantageous.
- Confidence and proficiency in using hand and power tools safely.
- Possession of Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills combined with excellent customer service.
- Dependable, well-organized, and self-driven work ethic.
- A full clean driving license is mandatory for this role.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel nationwide as required.
