About the Role

The Newcastle office seeks a committed Financial Planning Consultant to join the team, with opportunities both to work with an established client base and develop new business. This role offers a balance between stability and growth potential for professionals eager to advance their financial planning careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend their financial goals and deliver tailored, comprehensive plans to meet these objectives.
  • Maintain the delivery of high-quality ongoing advice to existing clients.
  • Engage in targeted business development activities internally and externally to generate new prospects and convert them into clients.
  • Continuously develop and update technical expertise related to financial planning.
  • Meet individual revenue targets and contribute to the team's financial success.
  • Expand and nurture a strong professional network through event attendance and relationship-building initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Holder of at least a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning; Level 6 Advanced Diploma is a desirable additional qualification.
  • Thorough understanding of Business Standards such as Conduct of Business (COBS) and High-Level Standards like Code of Conduct (COCON).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a financial advisory capacity.
  • Familiarity with FCA Money Laundering regulations under the SYSC sourcebook.
  • Baseline knowledge of accounting-related services including Audit, Tax, Insolvency, Corporate Finance, VAT, and Accounting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure and prioritize effectively.
  • Good overall IT literacy and attention to detail, ensuring reports and documents are of superior quality.
