Role Overview

The Financial Director position, based at The Westin Dhaka, is a full-time role responsible for managing the hotel's entire financial operations. This includes budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, and ensuring compliance with both Marriott International standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and reporting cycles.
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to enhance revenue, cost control, and profitability.
• Collaborate with departmental heads for financial planning activities.
• Support both internal and external audits.
• Maintain relationships with financial institutions and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure prompt and accurate month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Mentor and develop the finance team.
• Implement robust internal controls and contribute to long-term financial and capital planning.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Proficient in creating and analyzing financial statements according to applicable standards.
• Advanced analytical abilities to interpret financial data and identify trends for decision-making support.
• Experience in hospitality or service industries, preferably in an international hotel chain environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CMA are highly desirable.
• Proven leadership skills with capability to manage and communicate effectively with finance teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Bangladesh's regulatory and taxation framework and international financial standards.
• High integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and adaptability to a fast-moving multicultural workplace.
