Job Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Direct the finance department and collaborate closely as a commercial partner with senior leadership.
• Deliver financial insights and constructive challenges to aid strategic and commercial decision-making processes.
• Engage extensively with operational, commercial, and other key business units.
• Lead critical financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance evaluation.
• Spot opportunities that enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and overall business outcomes.
• Convert financial information into clear, commercially meaningful analyses.
• Ensure the maintenance of robust financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting standards.
• Guarantee compliance with relevant financial and regulatory standards applicable to the business.
• Oversee aspects of financial reporting, cash flow management, working capital, and financial risk assessment.
• Promote ongoing improvements in financial systems, workflows, and reporting mechanisms.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team toward excellence.
• Remain actively involved with detailed financial matters as required.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possession of a recognized professional accounting credential such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CA.
• Substantial experience in senior finance leadership roles, ideally at Finance Director or corresponding levels.
• Experience within financial services is strongly preferred; however, candidates from other complex, highly regulated sectors are welcome.
• Strong commercial acumen with a keen understanding of broader business operations and driving factors.
• Proven skills in business partnering and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
• Advanced technical proficiency in accounting and financial management.
• Deep knowledge of governance, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Capability to influence and constructively challenge senior management effectively.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable and clear commercial insights.
• Strategic thinker capable of balancing a wider perspective with hands-on involvement.
• Excellent leadership qualities and communication skills.
• Experience working within the UAE or broader GCC region is advantageous.
