Role Overview and Duties

• Direct and manage all finance department activities of the hotel.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and senior leadership to ensure department heads meet key performance indicators, including wage control, gross profit, and departmental margins.
• Prepare detailed monthly management accounts on time, including Profit & Loss statements, key performance metrics, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasts.
• Lead the evaluation and updating of revenue and cost forecasts, identifying financial risks and opportunities affecting hotel performance.
• Develop cost estimates for capital projects requiring head office approval.
• Ensure the maintenance and robustness of group internal controls.
• Enhance hotel profitability through commercial insight, strict financial controls, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
• Manage cash flows and ensure timely bank payments.
• Oversee income audit processes to guarantee accuracy and prevent cash leakage.
• Produce special reports and analyses as required by management and headquarters.
• Prepare annual budgets and coordinate the annual audit process, maintaining documentation for group reviews.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA certification and at least five years of post-qualification experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with multiple software systems such as Sage, Hotsoff, Procure Wizard, and Timepoint.
• Previous hospitality experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Capable of mentoring and guiding team members effectively.
• Professional appearance and approachable demeanor, with exceptional attention to detail vital for this position.
