Overview
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this Financial Controller role is responsible for overseeing daily finance functions, guaranteeing solid financial governance, precise reporting, and useful business partnership across the company. It is a pivotal leadership position blending financial oversight, team leadership, commercial insight, and enhancement of processes in a fast-evolving setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily financial control tasks within the Accounting & Finance department to maintain comprehensive and trustworthy financial records.
- Generate precise financial reports providing transparent views of company performance.
- Utilize applied knowledge of FRS 102 standards to prepare and assess financial documentation.
- Ensure the consistency and punctuality of accounting processes supporting reliable reporting.
- Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement measures to improve data accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with relevant teams to deliver clear financial insights to inform business choices.
- Manage deadlines and oversee internal financial report preparation.
- Guarantee all accounting activities comply with established financial reporting standards.
- Lead and nurture the finance team, encouraging continuous performance enhancements and improvements.
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified with active membership in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Relevant post-qualification experience in a busy accounting setting.
- Comprehensive practical understanding of FRS 102.
- Strong expertise in financial controls and reporting.
- Ability to critically review financial information and effectively address issues.
- Confidence in managing accounting operations and adhering to reporting schedules.
