Position Overview

The Financial Controller will oversee all financial operations, guaranteeing regulatory compliance and delivering strategic financial guidance to influence business decision-making. This role entails managing accounting processes, budgeting activities, and financial reporting, all aimed at sustaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute financial strategies that support the company's objectives.
• Deliver data-driven financial analysis to facilitate informed strategic business choices.
• Direct the annual budgeting cycle, including forecasting revenues, expenses, and cash flows.
• Track budget adherence and suggest necessary modifications.
• Supervise accounting functions ensuring precise record maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory standards including tax filings and audits.
• Compile accurate and timely financial documents such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Present financial findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Manage liquidity and optimize working capital.
• Seek opportunities to enhance financial efficiencies and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance and planning related to GST, income tax, and other applicable laws.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit executions and finalize reports.
• Identify financial risks and formulate strategies for their mitigation.
• Implement controls to safeguard company assets and financial information.
• Lead and nurture the finance and accounts team to boost productivity and maintain high standards of accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with departments such as operations, marketing, and supply chain to assist in financial decision-making.
• Contribute to overall business growth strategies from a financial perspective.

Qualifications

• CA or MBA in Finance or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within fashion, retail, or e-commerce industries.
• Experience working in D2C or e-commerce-driven companies is mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, financial statements, and taxation regulations.
• Proficiency with financial software tools and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
