Role Description

This full-time, on-site position in Auckland takes responsibility for the financial integrity and overall fiscal health of MH Money Express. The role entails overseeing accounting activities, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting conforming to regulatory obligations across various jurisdictions.

The Financial Controller manages cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities, providing analytical insights that assist strategic planning. Collaborative work with company leadership is essential to support financial planning and risk management. Daily duties include supervising finance and accounting processes, enforcing internal controls, supporting audits, and enhancing financial systems and procedures for improved efficiency and compliance. The role requires coordination with operational divisions to ensure alignment between financial practices and the organization’s service goals and growth plans.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid experience in accounting and finance, particularly within regulated financial services environments.
• Proven ability in preparing financial statements and reporting in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and data-driven decision-making support.
• Experience with cash flow management, internal control systems, and audit facilitation in multi-entity or cross-border organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CA or CPA are highly valued.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in New Zealand and the wider Pacific region is advantageous.
• High attention to detail and integrity, with the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.
• Competency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
