Financial Controller

About the Role

PH Hospitality seeks a seasoned Financial Controller to lead financial operations within our hospitality division based in Dubai. This role reports directly to the General Manager and Group CFO, and is entrusted with overseeing comprehensive financial activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and promoting sound fiscal stewardship across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury functions.
• Compile and deliver timely and precise financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually in line with IFRS requirements.
• Direct the budgeting and financial planning annually in collaboration with department heads to synchronize financial objectives with business strategies.
• Oversee cash flow, optimize working capital, and maintain relationships with banks and financing entities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax laws, and statutory obligations; coordinate with external auditors and act as the primary auditor contact.
• Implement and monitor effective internal controls, financial policies, and safeguarding procedures for company assets.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to senior leadership to aid business growth and enhance profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to maintain high performance and foster professional growth.
• Maintain communications with investors, banking partners, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience working in 5-star hotel environments with a minimum of three years as a Financial Controller.
• Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance with UAE regulations.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, UAE VAT, and corporate tax legislations.
• Proficiency with ERP software such as Oracle, SAP, or Sun Systems along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing finance personnel.
• Excellent analytical capabilities, communication skills, and stakeholder engagement experience.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and business acumen.
