Financial Controller

Position Overview

The Financial Controller at Plant Digital is responsible for managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and safeguarding the organization's financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and oversee financial reporting activities.
• Manage cash flow to support daily operational needs effectively.
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely settlements and collections.
• Prepare comprehensive executive management reports and respond to related queries.
• Handle special reporting assignments as delegated by senior management.
• Contribute to the formulation of annual budgets and business plans.
• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
• Track financial results against budgets and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Coordinate and oversee audit processes including statutory, IKTVA, and local content audits.
• Liaise with external auditors to finalize audit documentation and findings.
• Manage the preparation and submission of various tax returns, including Zakat, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and VAT, in partnership with tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with filing requirements with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) and lead the management of assessments and queries.
• Maintain adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Establish robust internal controls to mitigate fraud and accounting errors.
• Identify potential financial risks and implement strategies to address them effectively.
• Provide guidance on risk management and capitalize on financial opportunities.
• Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring staff are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with company objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting is required.
• Professional accounting certifications such as CMA, CPA, or CA are preferred.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical acumen for interpreting financial data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in stakeholder management and the ability to foster productive relationships.
• Collaborative work style, capable of leading teams in a non-hierarchical setup.
• At least 7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or team management capacity.
