Financial Controller

Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to join a dynamic international firm specialised in construction and infrastructure. This company operates batching plants across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial performance, guiding strategic decisions, and facilitating the company’s next growth phase.

Primary Duties

• Compile and present monthly management accounts, financial reports, and key performance metrics.
• Direct cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning across operations.
• Ensure adherence to financial controls, statutory reporting, tax obligations, and oversee audit activities.
• Collaborate closely with senior executives to deliver commercial insights and assist with strategic projects.
• Drive process enhancements aimed at improving efficiency, accuracy of reporting, and financial governance.

Candidate Profile

• Certified accountant holding ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification, with prior experience in a Financial Controller role or senior financial position.
• Proficient in financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
• Experience in industries such as construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other project-driven sectors is highly preferred.
• Advanced competency in Excel and familiarity with financial management systems; experience with ERP systems is an asset.
• Commercially minded, proactive, and adept at influencing stakeholders at various organizational levels.
