Job description

Position Overview

Located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this role as a Financial Analyst focuses on conducting in-depth stock research to support portfolio managers in making well-informed investment choices. Candidates will employ analytical skills, interpret data, and utilize various tools to anticipate a security’s market behavior. This includes quantitative analysis of stock statistics alongside recent market trends. The role also involves designing investment models and screening strategies to assist in portfolio risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Examine data to detect emerging opportunities and potential risks, providing well-supported justifications.
  • Deliver BUY/SELL/HOLD recommendations and effectively present these to the investment committee.
  • Contribute to the drafting of research reports detailing insights for publication to both community stakeholders and media outlets.
  • Engage with institutional investors to communicate findings and respond to requests for models and spontaneous analysis.
  • Continuously monitor industry news, trends, and developments, sharing relevant insights with internal and external parties.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with investor relations teams from portfolio companies.
  • Conduct independent primary research to stay current with market trends and sentiment.
  • Coordinate with internal sales and trading teams to address news, corporate actions, and reporting events, ensuring adherence to escalation protocols for significant news.
  • Represent the organization at conferences and events to enhance the company’s public profile, promote its research, and attract potential clients.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required.
  • Proven experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • More than 5 years of experience in financial analysis is essential.
  • At least 3 years of experience within Equity Research sectors is mandatory.
