Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Financial Advisor based in Kampala to engage with clients in assessing their goals and financial situations. The successful candidate will craft personalized financial plans, clarify product options, conduct ongoing portfolio assessments, and guide clients on risk and returns. Additional duties include maintaining precise client documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and working alongside colleagues to provide excellent service. Building and nurturing a robust client portfolio via networking, referrals, and regular communication is vital.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand and evaluate their financial objectives and current financial status.
- Develop comprehensive financial plans and clearly explain suitable insurance, pension, and investment products.
- Perform regular reviews of client portfolios to ensure alignment with goals and market changes.
- Maintain accurate customer records adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver integrated financial solutions.
- Proactively grow and manage a client base through networking and follow-ups.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong expertise in financial planning and retirement strategies to support clients in meeting long-term goals.
- Sound knowledge of finance and investment principles for analyzing various products and markets.
- Proficient in delivering financial advice that is ethical, clear, and customized to clients’ needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Strong analytical thinking, numerical accuracy, and attention to detail.
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related discipline; professional certifications are advantageous.
- Prior experience in financial services, insurance, investment advisories, or similar roles preferred.
- Ability to operate from the Kampala office, juggle multiple client engagements, and comply with regulatory and ethical frameworks.
