Role Overview

As a Group Financial Reporting Accountant reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting financial reporting accuracy and upholding robust internal controls for the EMEA group. This position involves preparing financial statements under IFRS, UK GAAP, and Irish GAAP frameworks, managing accounting activities aligned with IFRS9, IFRS15, IFRS16, and treasury functions. The role requires collaboration with EMEA finance teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare annual statutory financial statements for the group’s subsidiaries.
• Conduct monthly reporting on principal accounting matters including IFRS9, IFRS15, and IFRS16 for the EMEA group.
• Assist with quarterly group reporting encompassing balance sheets and cashflows.
• Facilitate audits of group and subsidiary financial reports and serve as a primary liaison for external auditors.
• Support reporting activities for lenders and investors, focusing on consistency, quality, and punctuality.
• Participate in group-wide projects and other financial matters as assigned.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance processing and reporting systems continually.
• Contribute to Business Services projects including cross-department initiatives and workload transitions.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s internal financial control policies and processes throughout operations, including supply chain, purchasing, and payment authorizations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Fully qualified accountant credentials such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Prior experience preparing financial statements for subsidiaries, preferably with CaseWare software.
• Strong proficiency and knowledge in IFRS standards, particularly IFRS9, IFRS15, and IFRS16.
• Advanced technical accounting capabilities with acute accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills across diverse organizational levels.
• Results-oriented mindset capable of meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Competence in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks to meet time-sensitive goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal teams and external vendors.
