Financial Accountant

Overview

Pump & Valve Specialties Ltd is looking for a commercially aware chartered accountant to serve as a key asset within our Group Finance team. This pivotal role involves delivering accurate and prompt financial data, balancing detailed month-end closing tasks with strategic finance functions that support overall business goals.

Role Scope

This position is full-time and office-based, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The Financial Accountant will maintain precise financial records, support everyday operations, and provide insightful financial analysis to aid the company's sustained development.

Core Responsibilities

• Compile monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
• Oversee the general ledger to verify financial accuracy
• Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet validations
• Handle budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial reporting requirements
• Support payroll operations
• Monitor cash flow and uphold financial controls
• Propose and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and precision

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial or company accountant role
• Possession of a CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is mandatory
• Technologically proficient with accounting ERP systems and modern financial tools
• Highly motivated with a collaborative mindset
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
