About the Role

Meta's Finance department is engaged in a transformative journey to achieve its 2030 vision. The Modern Finance team drives this transformation by fostering innovation, boosting productivity, and improving employee experiences. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Program Manager to lead strategic Finance projects and programs aligned with our 2030 roadmap.

As a Finance Program Manager, you will join a specified Modern Finance Cluster under a Cluster Lead. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the full lifecycle of assigned projects that may be either individual initiatives or parts of larger programs. You will ensure projects meet high-quality standards by coordinating with diverse stakeholder groups, spearheading change management efforts essential for project success, and applying technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, will be integral.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex finance projects and programs independently, proactively seeking feedback and collaborating effectively with global cross-functional teams.
• Maintain precise project documentation that aligns with Modern Finance execution standards to guarantee transparency and clarity of goals.
• Collaborate with functional teams and Planning & Partnership leads during project discovery phases.
• Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies to meet deadlines, budgets, and objectives, working closely with business units to address critical challenges.
• Review and refine underlying processes to support project goals, overseeing process mapping, documentation, and updates.
• Assess change impacts; embed readiness, adoption plans, and communication strategies within project plans; collaborate with Change SMEs to apply best practices.
• Manage resources by defining required business roles, resolving constraints, and supervising personnel allocation.
• Foster strong communication and stakeholder relationships through effective update mechanisms and plans tailored to experienced project audiences.
• Develop and execute tailored change management strategies, leveraging frameworks, communication skills, and tooling to ensure successful adoption.

Minimum Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience managing projects, including leading complex, ambiguous initiatives using recognized project management best practices.
• Proven ability to structure projects effectively, align resources, governance, and deliverables with project requirements.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills to engage diverse stakeholders positively.
• Business acumen with a solid understanding of finance functions and support of their strategic execution.
• Proficiency in utilizing emerging digital technologies, including AI, to improve execution, testing, requirements gathering, and reporting.
• Competency in process management and mapping, especially relating to core finance processes.
• Meticulous in documenting details and monitoring project progress.
• Demonstrated learning agility and willingness to expand knowledge of finance and new technologies.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and contribute solutions to operational challenges.
• Team-oriented mindset contributing positively to collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ethical AI practices, including risk assessments, bias mitigation, and review for quality and accuracy.
• Certifications in project management such as PMI.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma/DMAIC methodologies for process management and mapping.
• Change management qualification, e.g., PROSCI.
• Proven capability to integrate AI tools for workflow optimization and achieve measurable improvements like efficiency and quality.
• Ongoing development of AI-related skills, including prompt engineering and agent orchestration, with current knowledge of emerging AI technologies.
