About the Role
The Finance & Payroll Analyst integrates technical proficiency, project oversight, and employee engagement in a single position. This role is pivotal in generating monthly payroll instructions for third-party vendors and supporting internal payroll initiatives. Collaborating extensively with the International Payroll team, the Analyst serves as a trusted consultant to both external vendors and internal teams concerning integrated solutions and project implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist APAC regions with Payroll Accounting operations.
- Oversee month-end closing procedures, including preparing assigned journal entries, reconciling accounts, running financial schedules, and conducting variance analysis while addressing inquiries.
- Manage payroll account reconciliations and monthly payroll accruals.
- Monitor and clear payroll suspense accounts promptly.
- Collaborate with Treasury for cash forecasting and payment analysis.
- Partner with Finance to forecast payroll expenses.
- Coordinate with payroll operations on pay code mapping to general ledger accounts.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams on finance-related projects and with M&A integration teams.
- Provide support to the accounting team as needed and assist with payroll accounting audits and reviews.
- Prepare monthly payroll instructions for third-party vendors and audit their payroll results to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation queries related to payroll.
- Manage cash forecasting reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for management review and statutory compliance.
- Adhere to SOX control standards related to international payroll processes.
- Support payroll and statutory audits, prepare year-end documentation, and maintain payroll process documentation.
- Maintain accurate tracking of new hires, terminations, and employee changes ensuring payroll correctness by country.
- Ensure establishment of direct deposit and tax information for new employees and manage payroll inquiries from employees.
