Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Finance Officer to enhance financial and procurement operations within our business unit. This position involves handling a variety of financial transactions, budget management, reporting, and procurement tasks to support smooth business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and track financial transactions while maintaining precise records.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, monitor budget adherence, analyze variances, and adjust budgets as necessary.
- Generate financial reports detailing expenditures, commitments, and usage of allocated budgets.
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations and identify any discrepancies.
- Oversee outstanding invoices, receivables, and aging statements.
- Handle reconciliation of Purchasing Card transactions and Work Breakdown Structure requests.
- Prepare quotations for customers and manage invoice processing.
- Support procurement functions including preparing purchase requisitions, advance payments, and Service Entry Sheets.
- Arrange vendor registrations and facilitate onboarding processes.
- Provide assistance with tender submissions and financial documentation.
- Liaise regularly with Finance, Procurement teams, vendors, and other internal stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive and auditable records relating to financial and procurement activities.
- Identify and recommend improvements for operational processes to enhance efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Administration, or related discipline.
- A minimum of four years’ experience in Planning and Procurement Management.
- Proven experience in financial oversight, managing business units, and handling project data.
- Strong capabilities in budgeting, financial report generation, reconciliations, and invoice management.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures, including purchase requisitions.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and planning abilities.
- Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
- Well-versed with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently within a multicultural environment.
