Finance Officer

Job Purpose

We are looking for a diligent Finance Officer to become part of our dynamic Finance team. The role primarily supports general ledger operations and aids in preparing management accounts. The successful candidate will review and analyze financial transactions encompassing general ledger activities, accounts payable and receivable, banking and treasury functions, as well as VAT compliance, ensuring the company's financial records are precise and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in compiling monthly management accounts.
• Support the preparation of accruals and prepayments.
• Help analyze overhead expenses.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and record monthly depreciation entries.
• Analyze actual costs versus accruals.
• Assist with preparing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with team leaders and senior finance managers as needed.
• Contribute to month-end closing processes to deliver accurate and timely reports.
• Help prepare profit and loss statements for business units.
• Assist in reviewing overhead forecasts and comparing budgets to actuals.
• Provide documentation support during year-end audits and statutory accounts preparation.
• Participate in special finance projects when assigned.
• Support upkeep of finance reporting systems and drive process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possess a relevant Bachelor's degree, Accounting Technician qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with SAP accounting software is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage substantial workloads effectively.
• Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-moving work environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
