Finance Manager

Overview

Exciting opportunity for a driven accounting expert to join an expanding and well-established FMCG company located in North Dublin. The role reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for managing the daily finance operations, guaranteeing precise financial reporting, robust financial controls, and efficient financial procedures.

This position is ideal for a commercially focused, certified accountant who thrives in a hands-on role while also contributing to broader financial and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance function operations ensuring accurate and prompt financial statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities and processes.
• Generate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial performance commentary.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Track financial results against budgets, spotting trends and opportunities for enhancement.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and other key partners.
• Seek and implement ways to optimize financial processes, reporting, and system efficiency.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with over 4 years post-qualification experience.
• Background in FMCG, retail, or hospitality sectors is a plus.
• Strong expertise in technical accounting and preparing management accounts.
• Demonstrated ability managing month- and year-end reporting cycles.
• Excellent analytical capabilities to interpret data and offer insightful financial guidance.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive and commercially astute with ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
