Role Overview

The Finance Director based in Dubai will oversee the financial management and performance of GCC operations. This role entails strong collaboration with regional leadership and alignment with global finance teams, providing leadership across financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, controls, governance, and cash flow management. Beyond core finance functions, the Finance Director will serve as a strategic commercial advisor to regional leadership, focusing on business performance, investment evaluation, profitability, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance function throughout the GCC, delivering financial and commercial leadership.
• Own the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes regionally.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting aligned with corporate and US-listed entity standards.
• Oversee compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and internal control frameworks.
• Collaborate with GCC leadership on strategy, commercial decision-making, investments, and business results.
• Provide in-depth analysis on revenue, margins, profitability, cash flow, and operational KPIs.
• Implement improvements to working capital, financial operations, and overall efficiency.
• Coordinate closely with global finance, treasury, tax, internal audit, and external audit teams.
• Maintain strong financial controls and governance across multiple GCC entities.
• Support regional business expansion, new market initiatives, and strategic projects.
• Lead recruitment, development, and mentorship of the regional finance team.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including system enhancements and increased use of data analytics.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles including Finance Director or Regional Finance Director positions.
• Prior involvement with US-listed companies or substantial exposure to US-listed reporting and governance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
• Broad financial expertise including FP&A, reporting, financial control, and commercial finance.
• Proven experience managing finance operations in multiple countries, preferably within the GCC or Middle East region.
• Excellent commercial acumen and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Experience working within matrixed multinational organizations.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a record of developing effective finance teams.
• Outstanding communication skills for interaction with regional and global senior stakeholders.
