Role Overview
Join Central Coast Council during a pivotal phase as we advance our transformation journey following the successful deployment of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This progression unlocks fresh opportunities in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business intelligence.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in helping leadership maximize the potential of our enhanced financial systems and data capabilities. Your efforts will be integral to improving financial decision-making and organizational performance alongside stakeholders council-wide.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leaders and teams to deliver actionable financial advice, commercial analysis, and data-driven recommendations.
- Assist business units in translating their service plans and operational needs into realistic budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare timely, accurate financial reports, identify emerging trends, risks or issues, and support management in corrective measures.
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive business cases with clear financial analysis outlining assumptions, risks, contingencies, and impacts.
- Champion high standards for data governance, consistent reporting, and ongoing improvements in financial systems and related processes.
- Enhance financial knowledge and capabilities across the organization by helping stakeholders understand financial drivers and performance metrics.
Candidate Profile

Qualifications
A degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred, or alternatively, substantial relevant experience in a similar role complemented by ongoing professional development.
Employment Details
- Salary starts up to $110,900, with opportunities for advancement to $128,500 based on performance and skills assessment.
- Superannuation contribution of 12% applies.
- Available positions include two permanent and one fixed-term contract role.
- Benefit from a 9-day fortnight work schedule.
- Flexible work arrangements permitting two days remote and three days onsite, based at Wyong Administration Building.
