Position Overview

Become a crucial member of Downer's Telco New Zealand team as a Finance Business Partner. This role offers the chance to support some of the country's largest telecommunications contracts by collaborating closely with operational and commercial leaders. You will deliver key strategic financial insights and contribute significantly to business performance improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead the formulation of annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans for the Telco NZ portfolio.
• Provide precise financial reporting, deliver insights and analyze performance data that aid in operational decision-making.
• Build and maintain detailed project financial models outlining risks, opportunities, and strategies for improvement.
• Collaborate with operational, engineering, commercial, and finance teams to enhance business performance and achieve desired commercial outcomes.
• Contribute to pricing strategies and financial modeling to support major project bids and commercial opportunities.

Professional Requirements

• Possess over 10 years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Project Accounting, or Management Accounting.
• Hold a CA or CPA qualification complemented by a tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate substantial experience within sectors such as infrastructure, telecommunications, utilities, construction, or contract-based field services.
• Exhibit a proven record of developing budgets, forecasts, financial models, and reporting mechanisms while effectively influencing stakeholders.
• Have strong technical accounting expertise including IFRS standards and familiarity with financial software like OneStream and JDEGS.
