This position reports directly to the Global Head of Billing with a dotted line to the EMEA Collections Manager.

Core Responsibilities

  • Examine invoices prepared by Billing to ensure they meet regulatory standards across MENA countries including KSA ZATCA Phase 2, UAE FTA, Egypt ETA, and Qatar QR codes prior to client dispatch.
  • Verify invoice details such as format, currency, language, mandatory fields (VAT/tax IDs, QR codes) against purchase orders and contracts, flagging inconsistencies for correction.
  • Engage with customers to prompt payment on overdue invoices and track aging reports to focus collection efforts strategically.
  • Escalate overdue accounts to regional management or legal teams as required, while maintaining thorough documentation of collection activities and client interactions.
  • Update client account information within MSCI ERP and accounting systems, including collection of withholding tax certificates where applicable.
  • Generate regular reports detailing the accounts receivable status and collections health for management review.
  • Address and help resolve client billing disputes and payment blockages.

  • Collaborate with client Finance and Accounts Payable departments to confirm invoice receipt, clarify discrepancies, and keep billing and collection contact details current.
  • Secure global deal billing allocations and foster strong client finance relationships to minimize invoice rejections and speed up collections.
  • Coordinate real-time communication between Billing and Collections teams regarding invoice status, credit memos, adjustments, and dispute resolutions specific to MENA.
  • Lead the resolution process for billing disputes and tax issues, working across Billing, Tax, Legal, Sales, and client finance stakeholders until fully resolved.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional e-invoicing, VAT, and digital tax regulations and ensure invoices fully comply with applicable tax treatments and maintain required audit trails.
  • Oversee MENA billing and collection metrics including issuance tracking, aging analysis, dispute monitoring, and compliance reports, supporting month-end financial close and reconciliations.
  • Identify and recommend improvements within billing-to-collections workflows and contribute to deployment of new billing tools and e-invoicing systems, including maintaining a regional billing guide.

Qualifications and Experience
