Job description
Position Overview
The Field Technician role at Veolia, based in Kildare, Ireland, is a permanent onsite position reporting to the Site Supervisor and Site Operations Manager. The primary responsibility is to assist in the safe and compliant loading of hazardous materials into tanks and trucks at the client site.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all internal waste collections on site to ensure proper segregation within the Waste compound, following all regulatory guidelines.
- Organize safe and compliant shipments to multiple treatment centers off-site.
- Carry out loading and unloading of materials as required.
- Maintain accurate onsite waste inventory records.
- Plan and register waste removal processes in alignment with site protocols.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and instructions to guarantee a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Keep the workplace orderly and clean at all times.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support effective contract management on site.
- For those holding an ADR licence: safely shuttle waste containers and tankers to facilitate smooth operations on the site.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a valid Safe Pass certification (mandatory).
- Forklift licence (mandatory).
- A valid ADR licence covering packages, including tanker qualification (preferred).
- Experience in loading tankers and previous work in hazardous environments is highly desired.
- At least 2 years driving experience for ADR licence holders (preferred).
