Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Field Service Technician to join a reputable and expanding technology services firm servicing major clients across Ireland. The role involves frequent travel to various client sites in Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, and Kilkenny, providing a broad range of IT and technical support services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform on-site maintenance, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs or troubleshooting tasks.
- Manage installation, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC), including deployment of equipment for projects.
- Execute software updates and hardware removal activities.
- Participate in infrastructure-related projects and associated work.
- Install equipment and complete remedial actions as required.
- Maintain accurate stock and asset records related to equipment usage.
- Collaborate effectively with Helpdesk and Project Management teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service during every client interaction.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards and complete all work assignments to the required quality levels.
Candidate Profile and Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a comparable IT or field services role.
- Strong technical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Possession of a valid full clean driving licence from Ireland or Europe.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours and travel commitments.
- Legal eligibility and a valid work permit to work in Ireland are mandatory.
