Overview
The Field Service Technician role in Midland, Texas involves hands-on installation, routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of oilfield safety apparatus including safety valves, general valves, and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) equipment. The technician will play a vital part in ensuring these safety-critical devices operate reliably to safeguard equipment as well as personnel during oilfield operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install safety valves, standard valves, and emergency shutdown systems at operational sites.
- Conduct periodic maintenance and thorough inspections to confirm proper function and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose functional issues and perform efficient repairs on valves and ESD components as needed.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor for task coordination and reporting.
Requirements and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in handling safety valve and valve-related equipment within oilfield or industrial settings.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing emergency shutdown systems to maintain operational safety.
- Knowledgeable about oilfield safety protocols and equipment operational standards.
