Job description
Overview
Our client, a machinery supplier serving the food manufacturing sector, seeks a skilled Field Service Technician to support clients mainly within the Greater Toronto Area west and Kitchener-Waterloo region. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical and electrical maintenance capabilities alongside field service experience. The role involves travel to various customer locations across the region and requires a professional demeanor paired with effective communication.
The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime hours with some flexibility needed for after-hours assignments, compensated with overtime pay. Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair services on client machinery at customer sites within the assigned geographic territory.
- Travel regionally as needed to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Communicate professionally with customers to provide updates and respond to technical needs.
- Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards while operating company vehicles.
Requirements
- Experience as a field service technician supporting industrial machinery or equipment.
- Between 5 to 7 years of relevant experience working as a millwright, industrial electrician, or electromechanical technician.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to operate service vehicles responsibly.
- Hold a valid passport enabling international travel for training purposes.
- Availability to attend and respond to service calls across the designated geographical region.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional approach to customer interactions.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
