Field Service Engineer

Job Overview

As a Field Service Engineer at Deshmukh Industries, located in Pune, Maharashtra, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of packaging machines directly at customer locations. This role involves delivering excellent customer support through equipment demonstrations, operator training sessions, swift breakdown resolution, and routine preventive maintenance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and commission packaging machinery at client sites.
• Conduct demonstrations of machine operation and provide training to customers' operators.
• Respond to service calls and rectify faults within agreed response times.
• Diagnose problems related to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems and PLC controls.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance visits to ensure smooth operation.
• Generate and submit daily service reports documenting activities and findings.
• Liaise with the spare parts department to requisition required components for servicing.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by communicating professionally and providing timely support.
• Gather and document customer feedback following every service intervention.
• Report repetitive or complex technical issues to the production and design teams for further analysis.
• Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of all company tools and assets used during service operations.
