Overview
Become a key contributor at Honeywell by taking on the role of Field Service Engineer based in Wellington, New Zealand. This position offers the opportunity to impact customer operations by ensuring high-quality project and service deliverables with a focus on customer satisfaction and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop customer relationships by staying informed about site conditions and client needs.
- Deliver technical support to colleagues including technical representatives, Account Managers, and other engineers.
- Spot potential sales and service opportunities through customer interactions.
- Continuously update technical knowledge, including self-directed learning on new products.
- Keep customers well-informed about system enhancements and upgrade options.
Required Skills and Experience
- Possess a degree or substantial background in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or related trades.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience working with BMS/HVAC systems, particularly with Niagara platforms, or with Security systems.
- Strong grasp of building management systems or security technologies covering control theory, plant operations, tuning, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in electronic security systems is considered a significant advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills with a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
- Effective communication abilities both verbally and in writing to explain complex technical issues clearly.
- Capability to work under pressure managing multiple objectives simultaneously.
- Collaborative spirit with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to devise technical solutions tailored to customer business requirements.
- Willingness to travel within the central and lower North Island to support regional teams.
