Position Summary
The Field Officer role involves supporting the Field Trainer in executing SMS program activities within designated areas, specifically in districts such as Twifo Praso in the Cocoa Regions of Ghana. The candidate must be proficient in English and local dialects, self-driven, and ready to take ownership of district-level agricultural initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and oversee annual work plans for the district.
- Direct and supervise farmer-focused specialized programs including VSLA and Additional Livelihood initiatives.
- Ensure accurate certification processes and manage the annual audit within the district.
- Coordinate and organize training activities tailored for agricultural producers.
- Lead and manage a team of Field Trainers assigned to the district, aiding in their assessment and development.
- Undertake other duties aligned with the Field Officer's scope of work as assigned.
- Collaborate with Farm Supervisors to support their core responsibilities effectively.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with district Ministry of Food and Agriculture technical officers, research institutions, franchise holders, and other key stakeholders within the region.
- Prepare and submit weekly reports on activities and progress.
- Ensure proper care and security of all company assets assigned to the Field Officer.
Educational Qualifications
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Business, Economics, or Development Studies.
- Alternatively, hold a Certificate in Agriculture.
