About the Role
Join Intrepid Travel, a pioneering travel company inspiring and delivering transformative travel experiences worldwide since 1989. We are seeking a Field Guide stationed at Arkaba Homestead in the stunning Flinders Ranges, Australia. The role offers you the chance to lead luxury outback safari adventures combining conservation, nature storytelling, and authentic guest interactions.
Key Responsibilities
As a Field Guide, you will conduct immersive guided walks and activities across the property. This involves facilitating educational talks on wildlife, natural history and conservation efforts, delivering memorable scenic excursions, welcoming guests, and supporting overall lodge operations. Flexibility is essential as daily duties vary, and you play a vital role in offering exemplary service and fostering genuine connections between visitors and the landscape.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English and an excellent customer service approach, capable of engaging diverse travelers.
- Legal eligibility to work in Australia.
- Current or rapid obtainment of LR Driver's Licence, South Australian Passenger Accreditation, Wilderness First Aid and CPR certifications, and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification.
- Previous experience leading guided walks is highly desirable.
