Field Desktop Support Engineer (L1 & L2)

About the Role

Midass System Products is looking to hire Field Desktop Support Engineers for Level 1 and Level 2 positions based in Chennai. This role involves on-site visits to client and end-user locations to troubleshoot and repair issues related to computers, laptops, printers, and networks. Occasionally, desk-based service tasks will also be performed.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site troubleshooting and repairs for desktops and laptops at client locations.
• Address service requests and repairs within the office environment as needed.
• Install, maintain, and repair computer hardware components.
• Resolve printer malfunctions and handle network connectivity issues.
• Manage daily support calls and service tickets efficiently.
• (For Level 2) Provide basic server support and routine maintenance activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related stream; candidates with hardware experience from other streams are also welcome.
• Level 1 applicants: fresh graduates or 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• Level 2 applicants: 1-3 years experience including fundamental server handling knowledge.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows OS, printers, and networking fundamentals.
• Willingness to regularly travel within Chennai to client locations.
• Personal bike ownership preferred (petrol allowance will be provided); alternatively, bus or local train travel is acceptable with travel expenses reimbursed.

Compensation & Benefits

• Level 1 salary: ₹25,000 per month.
• Level 2 salary: ₹30,000 per month.
• Travel allowance included.
