About the Role
TFP Fertility Group invites an enthusiastic Fertility Specialist to join their Southampton clinic, a leader in assisted conception. This full-time position (37.5 hours weekly) offers an opportunity to contribute to the UK's largest IVF provider, working alongside experienced doctors in a supportive multidisciplinary team. The role includes weekend and on-call duties as part of a rotation.
Wessex Fertility, established in 1992, provides comprehensive fertility treatments including PGT and serves both NHS and private patients. Performing around 500 fresh and 500 frozen cycles annually, it boasts a modern facility with state-of-the-art technology, a 5/5 HFEA inspection rating, and outstanding patient satisfaction scores. The clinic is conveniently located near Southampton with ample free parking.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform egg collection procedures
- Conduct embryo transfer lists
- Lead patient consultations
- Carry out HyCoSy and saline infusion procedures
- Collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and allied professionals to ensure exceptional patient care
- Function effectively within a multidisciplinary fertility team
- SSR procedures familiarity is advantageous but not mandatory
Candidate Requirements
- Full GMC registration including Specialist Register listing
- Qualifications such as Fellowship or Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) or an equivalent higher diploma
- Background experience in gynaecology or fertility medicine
- Strong communication skills to discuss complex medical information with patients and colleagues
- Committed to a patient-centred approach
- Minimum 2 to 5 years clinical experience as a consultant, fellow, or doctor
- Comprehensive understanding of reproductive biology and scientific evidence guiding clinical practice
- Familiarity with the HFEA Code of Practice and clinical quality assurance
- Knowledge of related clinical disciplines and relevant legislation
- Competent in supervision and clinical management
