Fertility Consultant

Role Overview

The Fertility Consultant will be responsible for conducting thorough infertility evaluations, offering accurate diagnoses, and administering treatments for couples pursuing fertility solutions. This role involves hands-on performance and supervision of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) techniques, patient counseling, and collaboration with a diverse clinical team to ensure superior fertility care.

Key Duties

• Perform comprehensive fertility assessments and diagnostic tests for infertile couples.
• Create personalized treatment strategies grounded in patient history, diagnostic outcomes, and established clinical guidelines.
• Execute and oversee ART procedures such as IVF, IUI, ovulation induction, follicular monitoring, and embryo transfers.
• Coordinate with embryologists, andrologists, nursing staff, and counselors for seamless patient management.
• Deliver empathetic fertility counseling and emotional support throughout the treatment journey.
• Document medical records and treatment regimens meticulously in compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Adhere strictly to ethical practices and protocols within ART operations.
• Engage in clinical reviews, case evaluations, and initiatives aimed at quality enhancement.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Mandatory MBBS degree.
• Postgraduate qualification such as MD, MS, or DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Fellowship, MCh, or FRM specialization in Reproductive Medicine or Assisted Reproductive Technology is compulsory.

Experience Requirements and Skills

• At least three years of hands-on experience in fertility or ART practices.
• Proficiency in managing infertility clinically and diagnostically.
• Experienced in various ART procedures including IVF, ICSI, and IUI.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient empathy and counseling.
• Capability to handle intricate infertility cases effectively.
• Strong dedication to ethical medical practice and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
