Feed Technician

Overview

Based at Tassal's Feed Centre located in their head office in Hobart, Tasmania, the Feed Technician role offers a full-time position working remotely on a rotating 2/2/3 roster. This role aims to support the sustainable growth of high-quality salmon by remotely managing feeding operations across all marine sites utilizing state-of-the-art technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote feeding operations for salmon across multiple marine sites from a technologically advanced office setting ensuring optimal fish health and growth.
• Analyze diverse data formats to interpret feeding and performance metrics, applying strong IT competencies to manage current and emergent technologies within the Feed Centre.
• Collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, maintaining clear, concise, and confident communication to support team and company objectives.
• Engage as a proactive team contributor and problem solver to foster a positive feed culture that enhances fish performance and leverages both new and existing technologies for swift decision making and issue resolution.
