Job Overview
The F&B Store Keeper plays a vital role in managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of food, beverages, and related supplies. This position supports kitchen and food & beverage operations by maintaining precise stock records, ensuring hygiene standards, and controlling costs in alignment with Salayel Hospitality’s benchmarks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and validate all incoming food, beverage, and operational supplies against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Store items properly following FIFO (First In, First Out), FEFO (First Expired, First Out), and hygiene protocols.
- Keep accurate inventory records through both electronic systems and manual logs.
- Distribute stock to kitchens and outlets strictly based on approved requisitions.
- Track stock quantities and alert management regarding slow-moving, expired, or damaged goods.
- Perform stock counts regularly on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, aiding in audit procedures.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Cost Control, and F&B departments to facilitate timely stock replenishment.
- Comply with food safety guidelines, HACCP principles, and Abu Dhabi municipality regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within storage areas at all times.
- Contribute to cost reduction efforts by minimizing waste and preventing pilferage.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar F&B storekeeping role within hotels, restaurants, or hospitality enterprises.
- Strong understanding of F&B inventory management, suitable storage methods, and cost control practices.
- Knowledgeable about stock rotation involving FIFO and FEFO techniques, as well as expiry date monitoring.
- Experience working with inventory or ERP software is advantageous.
- Basic proficiency with computers, including Excel and inventory management applications.
- Physically capable of managing store operations effectively.
- Communicates well in English.
- Experience in the UAE hospitality sector is preferred.
