Job description
Position Overview
The Kitchen Support Associate plays a crucial role within various hotel departments, aiding in kitchen operations, food and beverage services, and employee dining areas. This role involves supporting cleaning functions and basic kitchen preparation tasks to ensure smooth hotel operations.
Key Duties and Job Functions
- Prepare fresh, clean linens and ensure spotless dining ware is available for guests.
- Operate and maintain cleaning appliances and tools, such as dishwashing machines and hand wash stations.
- Transport dishware throughout the hotel as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company and safety policies, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Protect company assets at all times.
- Greet and acknowledge all guests courteously, following company standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Maintain quality expectations and standards consistently.
- Be physically capable of standing, sitting, or walking for prolonged periods and perform activities such as bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds without aid.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- No formal education requirement (no high school diploma or GED needed).
- No prior related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience or certifications required.
