Fashion Designer

Role Overview

We are looking for an inventive and meticulous Fashion Designer who can ideate and develop appealing, trend-forward fashion concepts and collections. This position entails comprehensive research on contemporary fashion trends, crafting design proposals, selecting appropriate fabrics and materials, sketching designs, and supporting the whole garment creation process from initial concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop mood boards, color schemes, fashion illustrations, technical sketches, and detailed design specifications.
• Conduct market research on trends, consumer preferences, and textile choices to create designs that align with brand identity and target demographics.
• Collaborate closely with product development, merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible, aesthetically consistent, and suitable for manufacturing.
• Evaluate samples, give constructive design feedback, make necessary modifications, and guarantee that final products meet desired quality and aesthetic criteria.
• Maintain design documentation, organize collections systematically, prepare compelling presentations, and oversee multiple ongoing design projects.
• Stay updated on evolving fashion trends and industry innovations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or an equivalent discipline.
• In-depth understanding of fashion design principles, garment construction, textiles, color theory, patterns, and silhouettes.
• Exceptional creative, visual, and conceptual design skills.
• Proficiency in producing fashion sketches, technical drawings, mood boards, and design presentations.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar creative and fashion design software.
• Familiarity with fabrics, garment specifications, materials, and production workflows.
• Strong awareness of current fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
• Keen attention to detail with a refined sense of color harmony, proportion, balance, and aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Effective organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Innovative, flexible, proactive, and receptive to fresh ideas and design innovations.
