Factory Manager

Location and Employment Details

This role is based at Stylory factory located at Panchratna Industrial Estate, 375, Changodar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382213. It is a full-time position.

Role Overview

The Factory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production output of modular kitchens, wardrobes, and office furniture. The position demands ensuring timely delivery of orders in adherence to specifications while managing costs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and organize daily and weekly production schedules based on confirmed orders and delivery deadlines.
• Supervise manufacturing processes including cutting, edge banding, drilling/CNC operations, pressing, PU/lacquer finishing, and assembly.
• Lead a team consisting of supervisors, carpenters, machine operators, and helpers; allocate manpower efficiently and monitor productivity.
• Implement quality control measures at each step to minimize rework, reduce product rejections, and prevent site complaints.
• Coordinate material planning for boards, laminates, edge bands, and hardware with the purchasing department; manage wastage and inventory levels.
• Maintain machinery through preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols, 5S methodology, and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Liaise with sales, design, and installation departments regarding order modifications, dispatch schedules, and resolution of site-related issues.
• Provide detailed reports on production output, delays, expenditure, and material waste to senior management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possession of Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Production Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• In-depth understanding of panel-furniture machinery such as beam saw, edge bander, CNC machines, and boring equipment along with knowledge of board materials.
• Experience with PU/acrylic finishing techniques and modular hardware components like hinges, channels, lift-up systems, and corner units is preferred.
• Proven track record in managing teams of over 20 employees and fulfilling delivery deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with production planning or ERP software.
• Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi with working knowledge of English is required.

Compensation

The monthly salary ranges from INR 35,000 to INR 60,000, commensurate with experience in manufacturing and level of responsibility.
