Role Overview

We seek a dedicated and experienced Factory Head to oversee complete manufacturing operations. This leadership role entails responsibility for production, planning, quality assurance, maintenance, safety, cost management, manpower development, and ensuring timely delivery. The incumbent will champion a culture emphasizing quality, accountability, traceability, and continuous improvement throughout factory activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive factory processes to meet monthly and annual production, dispatch, and business objectives.
• Transform sales orders and operational task notes into actionable production schedules that guarantee on-time shipments.
• Enhance production efficiency, machine and manpower utilization, and overall capacity performance.
• Ensure manufacturing adheres strictly to approved drawings, bills of materials, specifications, process guidelines, and relevant standards.
• Drive execution of quality assurance plans, inspection test plans, standard operating procedures, stage-gate approvals, inspection regimes, and ensure full material and product traceability.
• Coordinate among Design, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Stores, Maintenance, Electrical, Dispatch, and Service departments to resolve operational bottlenecks promptly.
• Manage material usage efficiently aiming to minimize scrap, rework, rejections, and preventable production losses.
• Strengthen preventive maintenance practices to reduce equipment failures and limit production downtime.
• Ensure timely addressing of non-conformance reports, corrective and preventive actions, customer grievances, and quality issues.
• Set and monitor factory key result indicators and key performance indicators via MIS dashboards and conduct regular actionable reviews.
• Guarantee compliance with ISO 9001:2015 QMS standards, statutory regulations, safety protocols, and environmental norms relevant to factory operations.
• Support professional growth of supervisors, engineers, and workforce through training, skill enhancement, accountability reinforcement, and performance monitoring.
• Champion 5S, Lean Manufacturing principles, Kaizen initiatives, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor.

Key Performance Indicators

• Achieve production output at 98% of planned order or production requirements.
• Maintain on-time delivery at or above 95%.
• Reach production efficiency levels of 90%.
• Ensure full adherence (100%) to quality assurance plan and inspection test procedures.
• Limit material scrap to 2%.
• Target zero customer complaints related to production.
• Uphold zero safety incidents and ensure stringent audit compliance.
• Maintain 100% compliance with ISO and statutory standards.

Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent fields.
• Extensive manufacturing experience of 15+ years, with significant time in senior factory or plant leadership roles.
• Preferred industry experience includes heavy engineering sectors such as construction equipment, tower cranes, passenger/material hoists, material handling equipment, structural fabrication, or capital equipment manufacturing.

• Expertise in production planning and control.
• Strong knowledge of heavy fabrication, assembly, and welding manufacturing processes.
• Skilled in interpreting and applying engineering drawings and bills of materials.
• Proficient with quality assurance protocols including QAP and ITP.
• Competent in material traceability and ISO 9001 QMS compliance.
• Experienced in managing non-conformance reporting, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
• Focused on preventive maintenance, cost control, productivity improvement, and meeting safety and statutory compliance.
• Proven ability in cross-functional leadership, KPI management, and MIS reporting.
