Role Overview

The Facilities Specialist will play a key role in overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring smooth facility operations. This individual will assist in crafting and executing maintenance schedules, coordinate specialized repairs, and carry out regular inspections to maintain safety and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules.
• Oversee and coordinate specific maintenance and repair jobs requiring specialized attention.
• Perform risk assessments and apply health and safety protocols to reduce hazards within the facility.
• Monitor critical facility systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to sustain optimal functioning.
• Conduct systematic inspections to identify maintenance requirements and safety risks.
• Manage and maintain effective relationships with external service providers and contractors, ensuring service quality and contract compliance.
• Coordinate and supervise projects related to facility upgrades and refurbishments.
• Keep detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities and facility status updates.
• Support the Facility Manager with budgeting and controlling costs related to facility operations.
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to facility personnel and other departments when necessary.
• Contribute to energy-saving initiatives and promote sustainability in facility management.
• Escalate notable issues or incidents promptly to the Facility Manager.
