Job Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and design of mobile phone camera lenses and innovative optical architectures, contributing to patent drafting and technological advancements.
• Manage complete design lifecycles for sophisticated imaging systems such as fixed focal length, zoom, and freeform optics lenses.
• Perform comprehensive analyses of optical systems, including tolerance assessments, athermalization, stray light suppression, and optimization tasks.
• Develop and integrate optical development workflows across different project phases to enhance manufacturing-oriented system design, simulation, production, and measurement processes.
• Lead solution design from requirements analysis through system simulation to proof of concept and prototyping, addressing key technical challenges.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the business context and industry trends related to cutting-edge imaging optics technologies.
• Collaborate effectively with international cross-functional teams and eminent external industry partners to fulfill strategic business goals.
• Participate and present research outcomes at leading academic conferences and publish in prestigious journals; foster partnerships with top research institutions in Europe specializing in advanced imaging optics.

Required Qualifications and Expertise

• Documented background in the design and development of novel imaging optical systems.
• Strong theoretical foundation in geometric, diffractive, and physical optics; a Ph.D. in a relevant optics-related discipline is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in optical design, raytracing, and simulation software; programming skills in Python or similar high-level scripting languages are advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, systematic approach, and goal orientation.
• Strong communication skills tailored for both technical and executive audiences.
• Demonstrated adaptability, independence, and motivation in a dynamic work environment.
• Fluent in English (both written and oral) with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team setting.
