Candidates should possess at least five years of tiling experience within Australia, demonstrating a high standard of workmanship in tiling and waterproofing, especially for wet areas including preparation through to the final tiled surface.

This position suits an experienced tradesperson who values precision, quality finishes, and can maintain efficiency in a dynamic construction environment.

Role Overview

As a Tiler, you will be involved in finishing bathrooms, laundries, kitchens, and other tiled surfaces for modular homes and commercial structures. Most work is conducted within our Armidale manufacturing plant, providing a clean, stable work setting without the need to travel between sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute waterproofing in wet areas in line with Australian Standards
• Prepare surfaces adequately for waterproofing and subsequent tiling
• Construct cement beds and ensure proper floor grading for drainage
• Set out floor and wall tiles with precision
• Laying and grouting of graded bathroom floors
• Laying and grouting flat floors, walls, and splashbacks
• Apply silicone sealing and finish work accurately
• Detect and address quality concerns before job completion
• Adhere to standard production procedures for consistent, efficient results
• Collaborate effectively with other trades and production staff

Required Skills and Experience

• At least five years’ tiling experience in Australia
• Proven expertise in high-quality tiling and waterproofing tasks
• In-depth understanding of wet-area prep, waterproofing techniques, slopes, and final finishes
• Meticulous attention to detail with pride in workmanship
• Efficient work pace balanced with quality outcomes
• Valid Construction White Card certification
• Strong teamwork skills in production and construction environments
• Dependability, proactive attitude, and firm commitment to safety protocols

A formal trade qualification in tiling is advantageous but not mandatory if substantial relevant industry experience in Australia can be demonstrated.
