About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Optical Dispenser to join the growing team at Aphrodite Livanes Optometrist in Alexandra Hills, Queensland. This role offers more than basic dispensing duties — it involves delivering premium patient care, expert lens recommendations, and bespoke eyewear styling, all within a supportive, high-performing optometry practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert optical dispensing including progressives, lens coatings, and frame styling tailored to each patient.
• Offer outstanding customer service and personalized eyewear solutions to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Perform accurate fitting, adjustments, troubleshooting, and measurements to ensure optimal fit and function.
• Manage patient orders efficiently from consultation through to eyewear collection.
• Collaborate closely with optometrists to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
• Maintain neat dispensary presentation, organized stock, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Foster repeat business through strong relationships and confidence in product recommendations.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience as an Optical Dispenser is strongly preferred.
• Solid expertise in lenses, frame fitting, measurements, and advising patients on suitable options.
• Familiarity with the Optomate system is required.
• Confidence in driving premium sales, upselling, and customer retention strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Professional appearance and meticulous attention to detail.
• Availability to work in Alexandra Hills and surrounding areas.
