Our client, a global financial services firm based in Toronto, is searching for a seasoned FX Dealer with extensive practical experience in foreign exchange trading and corporate currency solutions. This senior front-office position demands an individual who has hands-on FX dealing expertise, a solid understanding of corporate currency requirements, and a robust network or portfolio of client relationships to develop legally and compliantly.

Role Description
The FX Dealer will be tasked with managing and expanding a book of corporate client relationships, providing expert guidance and support in foreign exchange and hedging solutions. Responsibilities include assisting clients with FX execution across spot, forwards, options, and structured FX products, identifying new business prospects through existing connections, and sustaining revenue growth within compliance and regulatory frameworks. This role is office-based in Toronto.
Key Duties
- Manage and develop a portfolio of corporate clients
- Engage directly with clients regarding FX spot, forwards, options, and structured products
- Advise clients on currency exposure management
- Identify new client prospects by leveraging existing relationships and FX market insights
- Generate revenues professionally while adhering to compliance standards
- Stay updated on FX market trends, product innovations, and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with sales, operations, legal, and compliance teams to support client issues
- Address transaction, documentation, or client service challenges promptly
- Provide regular reports on client activities, pipelines, and revenue potential
- Support a front-office culture emphasizing performance, prudent judgment, and regulatory compliance
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an FX Dealer with direct client interaction
- Proficiency in structuring, selling, and dealing with FX products including spot, forwards, options, and structured FX instruments
- Possession of an existing portfolio or extensive network of corporate client relationships
- Proven track record in origination and business growth
- Experience collaborating with corporate treasury, finance teams, or entities exposed to currency risk
- Exceptional communication and commercial judgment capabilities
- Sound understanding of regulated financial markets
- Preferably, established connections with Canadian corporates or entities with CAD/USD currency exposure
