Role Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled BAS Agent/Bookkeeper who will provide exceptional bookkeeping and advisory support. This is a flexible role, available part-time or full-time with a minimum commitment of three days per week, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert bookkeeping and advisory services with a high standard of quality.
• Manage intricate client files using Xero and MYOB accounting software.
• Prepare BAS and IAS documentation and related workpapers.
• Handle legal trust accounting duties; prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Manage client inquiries and oversee onboarding processes.
• Conduct file reviews and manage catch-up accounting work.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least five years of proven experience in bookkeeping and client advisory roles.
• High proficiency in Xero, with the capability to adapt these skills to other accounting platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of GST, BAS, payroll processing, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with trust accounting is considered a plus.
• Strong skills in communication and problem-solving.
