Role Overview

We are seeking an Experienced Associate Auditor to join our Hamilton Audit team. Candidates should have 2-3 years of hands-on audit and assurance experience in a chartered accounting setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present audit findings and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Review and finalize advice, reports, memorandums, and other deliverables.
  • Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to influence client business strategies.
  • Understand audit, risk advisory matters, and stakeholder requirements to resolve complex challenges.
  • Build strong relationships to positively impact clients and internal teams through effective communication.
  • Deliver outstanding client service, optimizing results and encouraging cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-3 years' audit experience within a chartered accountancy firm.
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS and New Zealand accounting standards.
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting.
  • CAANZ full member or actively pursuing membership.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and Microsoft Excel capabilities.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
  • Advanced research and problem-solving abilities.
